ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Teaching language of Çankaya University which is founded in 1997 is English, excluding Public Relations and Advertising Department (Turkish) and the Vocational School of Justice (Turkish) in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Faculty of Law (Turkish). Students who are not proficient in foreign language attend the English Preparatory Class for a period of one year. Çankaya University has 5 faculties with 20 departments, 2 institutes with 23 Master's and 8 doctoral programs, 2 vocational schools with 3 programmes and English preparatory class to support English education. One academic year consists of two semesters, each of which is at least 14 weeks. The courses are arranged according to each semester. Summer Learning is a training course in summer, except for the fall and spring semesters, and the training period for Summer Learning is seven weeks. Aim of this training is to increase the efficiency of education, to enable students benefit from educational opportunities in summer, to give a new opportunity for the courses they failed, and to enable successful students to graduate in shorter time. Summer Learning is subject to a fee and students who wish to take courses must pay the fee determined by the Board of Trustees. In summer learning, a student can take a maximum of 3 courses, not exceeding 12 credits. Students (except preparatory class) who are enrolled in the university programs with ÖSYS Scholarship, 50% and 25% discount, are given a summer learning scholarship. The scholarship specified in summer education offers 50% discount and 25% discount for a maximum of 2 summer courses. Our university actively carries out student exchanges within the scope of the Erasmus program.
