TRANSPORTATİON AND ACCOMODATİON
Konya, with its surface area and location in the country, is one of the cities which has the longest path lenght. The city has 9724 km road network incluiding 1397 km state road, 1531 city road and 6796 km village road. 7535 km of these roads asphalt coating, 1599 km stabilized, 509 km grading, 63 km has the characteristics of raw road, 99% of state and city roads and 68% of village roads are asphalt.
The railway access in Konya started in 1898. The trains passing by Konya, High Speed Train, Toros Express, İç Anadolu Mavi Train (Central Anatolia Blue Train) and Meram Express.
High Speed Train services are avaliable between Konya-Ankara and Konya-Eskişehir. Konya-Adana high speed train project is still under construction.
Air transportation is provided by civil facilities which are put in the military Airport of 3. Main Jet Base Command. Round trip flights from Konya to İstanbul are available by Anatolia Jet of THY (Turkish Airlines) 7 days a week.
