International Student Admission

Application requirements

Article 5: Applicants:

Provided that they are high school graduate or at the last grade of junior high;

  1. The student with a nationality other than Turkish,
  2. Those who document to own the document of Given Rights on Turkish Citizenship Law to be born in Turkey but declared of alienage from Ministry of Internal Affairs, and their non-adult children registered on their alienage document (in the article no. 7 of Turkish Citizenship Law no. 5901, the decision says that “(1) the children born within a marriage of a Turkish mother or father within or out of Turkey are Turkish citizens.” )
  3. Those who are originally foreign nationals, but later gained a Turkish citizenship, and those have double nationalities;
  4. Those who are Turkish-born and completed secondary education in another country except from Turkish Republic of North Cyprus (TRNC) (including those who completed secondary education in a Turkish school abroad axcept from TRNC);
  5. Those who are TRNC national, lives in TRNC, and completed secondary education in TRNC and have the results of GCE AL exam; and those who registered to high schools in other countries between 2005-2010 and have the results of  GCE AL exam can apply our university.

Among the candidates; the applications of

  1. Those who are Turkish nationals and completed secondary education in Turkey or TRNC;
  2. Those who are of TRNC nationality ( except from those who completed secondary education in TRNC and have the results of GCE AL exam)
  3. Those who have double nationalities, one of which is Turkish;
  4. Those who have double nationalities, one of which is TRNC(except from those who completed secondary education in TRNC and have the results of GCE AL exam; and those who registered to high schools in other countries between 2005-2010 and have the results of  GCE AL exam)
  5. Those with double citizenship the first born nationality of whom is Turkish as described in the (b) article of article no. (1) (excluding those who completed secondary education in a country or in a Turkish school in those countries except from Turkey or TRNC);
  6. Those with double citizenship one of which is TRNC (excluding those who completed secondary education in TRNC and have the results of GCE AL exam; and those who registered to high schools in other countries between 2005-2010 and have the results of  GCE AL exam)
  7. Turkish citizens who study in schools of embassies in Turkey and foreign high schools in Turkey, or Those with double citizenship the first born nationality of whom is Turkish as described in the (b) article of article no. (1) will not be accepted.

Necessary documents for the application

1- Application form

The applications will be done via filling in the form on our website and printed out. On the parts including identification information, passport information of the applicant is required to be written without abbreviations. All misunderstandings are under the applicants’ responsibility.

2- Diploma equivalence document

A document that shows that high school diploma is equivalent to diplomas from Turkish high schools and that can be taken form the Ministry of Education of Turkey (or Turkish Embassy) or Inter-universities Council,

3- Diploma

The original or translated form of high school diploma certified by Turkish embassy

4- Transcript

Original form certified by Turkish embassy (a Turkish-translated version of the certified transcript is required to be enclosed)

5- Exam result document

Original exam result paper, Turkish embassy-certified copies of international exam result papers, or the translated versions, or signed and stamped exam result paper of Turkish university exams, if taken)

6- Passport

Notary or Turkish embassy-certified, Turkish translated copy of the passport

7- Bank receipt

Receipt of payment of contribution and other registration costs ( the amount is determined by the Council of the Ministers at the beginning of each academic year)

8- Learning/ student visa

It will be taken from Turkish embassy

9- Foreign language document

Turkish embassy-certified original form of any available internationally validated exams

10- Photo

Six (6) head shot photos of 4,5cmx6cm

11- Statement of Residence

After registration, the student is required to deliver the document of residence with foreigner identity number to be taken from the police department within two months the latest.

12- Document of Financial Situation

It is the document that shows the resource the student will be having financial support from, if now supplied at the registration. The students are expected to have their own financial support. The university does not provide any scholarship or financial support for the foreign students. The students who are accepted after the assessment process are required to provide this document at the registration the latest.

13- Health insurance

After submitting the Foreign Identity Number, the students can have a general health insurance by applying to Social Safety Institution within three months. No general health insurance is provided to those who do not ask within these three months.

14- Tax number

Tax identity number taken from Tax Office of Republic of Turkey (you can easily get from the tax office in any cities if you take your passport with you).
